Jeffrey Thompson, MD
Dr Thompson has served Northeast Alabama since 1999. He was a student at Fort Payne and felt it was his calling to return to Fort Payne to set up a practice. Dr Thompson is married and has 4 children.
Angie Thompson
Angie has been employed as our Receptionist since 2007. She is married and has 2 daughters and a goldendoodle. She answers the phone, makes appointments, takes payments, and completes any FMLA or STD forms that you may need filled out after surgery.
Susan Sparks
Susan has been employed since 2004. Susan is our Surgery Coordinator and she handles the scheduling of all tests, procedures, and labs. She is responsible for precerting and verifying insurance coverage. If you have questions about your procedure, please ask for Susan.
Lacy Albright
Lacy has been employed since 2016. She is married and enjoys going to the beach. Lacy handles all coding and billing for insurance claims and is a floater for the administration part of the office. If you have any questions concerning your billing contact her.

Dr Thompson has served Northeast Alabama since 1999. Our office is located directly across from Dekalb Regional Medical Center in Fort Payne Alabama. We work together to serve your entire family for all your surgery needs in all stages of life. Dr Thompson believes in providing comprehensive health care services to our patients in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We also believe in educating our patients as we work with them to achieve the best physical state possible. “I try to treat every patient as I would my parent or sibling.” Dr Thompson specializes in colon, rectal, general surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgeries.
